Fifth Announcement -- Program, Proceedings, Posters, Conference Dinner, Final Remarks
The final program of the event is already available at the website: https://indico.cern.ch/event/388766/timetable/#all
The posters are divided in two groups: the first group (Monday posters) should be affixed on Sunday and removed on Tuesday before lunchtime. The second group (Tuesday posters) should be affixed on Tuesday lunchtime and removed on Thursday morning. To see your group, check the website of the event. There will be five (5) prizes for the best student posters and all student posters will be reviewed by more than one referee.
The proceedings will be published by eConf using the eprint arXiv. Information about the preparation of the proceedings and how to upload the link to the arxiv preprint and the pdf file of your poster or talk can be found at: https://indico.cern.ch/event/388766/page/12369-proceedings .
There will be a Conference Dinner on Tuesday before the Celebration Session. The dinner will be paid by the OC to the attendees of the event, but it will be served only to those who give their names at the secretary of the event by Sunday night. If you are arriving after that and wish to take part, please let the LOC know. If you want to bring an accompanying person to the Conference Dinner, it is possible, but the dinner will be charged by the hotel and the name of the accompanying person has to be added to the list as well.
Those who are not staying at the hotel but wish to join the others for lunch can buy their meal vouchers at the reception of the hotel in advance, on Sunday.
Ingleses Beach is around 40 km away from the airport and taxis can be expensive. We advise you to share an Uber.
Finally, we would like to remind those who have not paid the Conference Fee to do so at the earliest convenience.

Fourth Announcement - Accommodation

Unless you are one of the four invited lecturers, you are responsible for making your own reservation. If you wish to share a room, all names should be given together during the reservation to the hotel personnel. Reservations can be made by phone (+55)(48)(3261-3700) with Cecilia or Diego or by e-mail: reservas.sefi@slavierohoteis.com.br or eventos.sefi@slavierohoteis.com.br.
Rates:
- Single room: R$ 278,80 (per person per day)
- Double room: R$ 383,35 (R$ 191,68 per person per day)
- Triple room: R$ 487,90 (R$ 162,64 per person per day)
These prices include breakfast and lunch. The coffee-breaks will be paid by the organizing committee and hence, are also included.
However, due to an expected rise in the number of tourists in Florianópolis in March and to the fact that many of the participants in the event are bringing their family, the hotel rooms are getting occupied very fast. We have secured a certain number of rooms for the event until February 9, but most of them have already been booked. So, please, make your reservation as soon as you can.
In case the hotel rooms become all full before you book a room, we have also secured some double rooms until January 31 in a hotel 100 m away from the conference hotel, the Hotel Porto do Sol, whose webpage is https://hoteisportosol.com.br/pt/ingleses/ and the price is R$ 385,00 for a double room with breakfast and dinner (they do not offer lunch).

We are doing our best to block some extra rooms at the conference hotel, but we cannot guarantee that we will succeed. In case both hotels get fully booked, you will need to look for other options on your own.

Third Announcement – Abstracts and Proceedings
The abstracts of the posters that will be displayed during the XIV Hadron Physics should be inserted in the Indico platform using the link available at https://indico.cern.ch/event/388766/abstracts/
As we need to know the number of posters to provide the necessary space during the workshop, we ask the participants to submit the abstracts at the earliest convenience, but to remember that the deadline is February 19. This date will not be postponed.
Due to the workshop budget limitation, the proceedings will be published by eConf using the eprint ArXiv. The instructions can be found at http://www.slac.stanford.edu/econf/editors/arxiv.html
Hence, we ask the participants to prepare the contributions before the event, submit them to the arXiv (https://arxiv.org/) and send us the reference, so that they can be checked by the Organising Committee and substituted by the authors, if necessary. We suggest a 4 page article for those presenting posters, a 6 page article for those giving invited seminars and a free number of pages for the lecturers and the use of the Physical Review (C or D) template.
When preparing the material, please remember to fill out the following information in the submission form:

The Hadron Physics series has an advanced summer school format, consisting of 4 four thematic lectures, on frontier topics in the physics of strong interactions, as well as presentation and discussion of panels.

Registrations are now open at the page of the event. In case you do not have a Lightweight account at Cern, you will be asked to open one during the registration process.
Registration fees until December 1st: R$ 300,00 for researchers, R$ 150,00 for graduate students and undergraduate students are eligible to a fee waiver.
Registration fees after December 1st: R$ 400,00 for researchers, R$ 300,00 for graduate students and R$ 50,00 for undergraduate students.

The XIV Hadron Physics will be held in Florianopolis, Brazil, from March 18th to March 23rd. In 2018 we will be celebrating 30 years since the first Hadron Physics conference in 1988. Florianopolis is a very nice city in the South of Brazil, located in an island.
The Hadron Physics series has an advanced summer school format, consisting of thematic lectures, on frontier topics in the physics of strong interactions, as well as presentation and discussion
of panels. It is characterized by the active participation of graduate students and postdocs, as well as young researchers newly hired in educational institutions. It also promotes collaboration between
groups in Latin America and groups of excellence distributed around the world.
