BAN PHE

Located approximately 19 kilometers down on the southeast side of the city, Ban Phe fame for being Rayong’s major fishing community that offers the wide range of fresh and preserved seafood along with other OTOP products to shop back home. This charming white sandy beach is a place to enjoy a nice seafood meal and also a gateway to Ko Samet.
Opening hours: Daily from 6am-7pm.

LAEM MAE PHIM

This white sandy cape can be easily reached from Rayong city by driving along Sukhumvit Road, and turn right at Km 259.5, Km 263 or Km 268. Without large waves, the beach is nice for swimming. Accommodation and restaurants are available along the beach.

SUNTHON PHU MONUMENT

This memorial park was built to commemorate one of Thailand’s greatest poets Sunthon Phu, who lived during the early ages of Rattanakosin Era and was later honored by UNESCO as a great world’s poet. His statue is centered surrounded by famous characters from his famous literatures.

PHRA CHEDI KLANG NAM
(WAT SAMUT KHONGKHA OR WAT PAK NAM)

Located about 2 kilometers from Rayong city, the pagoda is built at the center of the isle at the mouth of the Rayong River. Even the origin of the pagoda which stands about 10 meters high is still unknown, but the myth has its said that the sailors once used it as the sign of arrival in Rayong.

An annual celebration is held during November which features an exciting boat and Loy Krathong Festival.

Opening hours: Daily from 6am-5pm.

KOH KLOI MARKET (Rayong Floating Market)

Koh Kloi Market is a new small floating market. It counts as a recreation area of local Rayong people. Koh Kloi is a small community which is full of old houses and shops that live happily together with generosity. All these old houses and shops lie beside the river and everyone in the community is considerate and always helps each other. And, this is what keeping the market last long from then to now. 

Koh Kloi Market lies on 36 road which is opposite to Big C supermarket, Rayong. “Enjoying walking around at Koh Kloi Market with the atmosphere of the good old days of your childhood” is the slogan of Koh Kloi Market. Since you step pass the entrance gate, you will spot a wooden bridge which will lead you to the center of the market. The atmosphere and the scenery of the place will bring you those memorable nostalgic moments back. You will encounter a variety of shops all along the way which are all decorated with antiques. You can find T-shirt, souvenirs, home decorations, accessories, Batik cloth, as well as a variety of delicious Thai food and drinks here. The market is clean yet having a chilly weather. If you feel tired after walking around, the Thai massage service is as well provided here.

Koh Kloi Market opens daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

 

 Conference Excursion  

SUPHATTRALAND

A visit to Suphattra land gets you a chance to explore a local fruit plantation with abundant mangosteen, durian and rambutan you can try picking, taste and buy some back home. Best time to visit is during late April-June when fruits are ready to be picked.

Opening hours: Daily 08.00 am – 6.00 pm

Admission: 200 baht per person. Entry with a meal 350 baht
