The S-Bahn station at the "Hamburg Airport (Flughafen)" is located in front of the terminals and is easily accessible via lift/escalator/stairs inside the airport building. From the S-Bahn station “Othmarschen” take Bus 1 (bus stop is in front of the station) to the stop called "Zum Hünengrab/DESY" (direction Rissen/Schenefelder Holt) – 3.20* €, approx. 1 hour.

Exit the Autobahn (A7) at HH-Bahrenfeld. Arriving in Hamburg from the South: turn left onto the main road (Osdorfer Weg). Arriving in Hamburg from the North: turn right onto the main road (Osdorfer Weg). After approx. 1.5 km, turn right onto Notkestraße. The main entrance of DESY is the second road on the left.

How to reach Elbphilharmonie Plaza (Platz der Deutschen Einheit 1, 20457 Hamburg) from the DESY campus?
If the weather is good (2 busses, 2 boats):
Take Bus 1 (bus stop is near the DESY Main gate) or Bus 2 (bus stop is near the DESY Side gate) (direction Altona) to “Altona”. From “Altona” take Bus 111 to “Kreuzfahrtterminal Altona” (direction Baakenhöft). Walk a bit to “Dockland (Fischereihafen)”. From “Dockland (Fischereihafen)” take Ferry 62 to “Landungsbrücken Brücke 1”, from “Landungsbrücken Brücke 1” take Ferry 72 to “Elbphilharmonie” – 3.20* €, approx. 1 hour.
Or (2 busses):
Take Bus 1 (bus stop is near the DESY Main gate) or Bus 2 (bus stop is near the DESY Side gate) (direction Altona) to “Altona”. From “Altona” take Bus 111 to “Am Kaiserkai (Elbphilharmonie)” (direction Baakenhöft) – 3.20* €, approx. 51 minutes.

Take Bus 1 (bus stop is near the DESY Main gate) or Bus 2 (bus stop is near the DESY Side gate) (direction Altona) to “Altona”. From “Altona” take Bus 112 to “Neumühlen/Övelgönne” (direction Neumühlen/Övelgönne) – 3.20* €, approx. 37 minutes.
