For the Workshop timetable we will publish as soon as we receive title, name and registration of the speakers. We expect that in the August we will receive practically all information.
Please, from now on until the Workshop begins, check the web page for possible minor changes.
If you are not yet registered, please click here for REGISTRATION, as soon as possible. This is very important for our organization and final reports.
Attention: the deadline for registration for session C is August 10th, 2018.
LISHEP will be held from September 10 to 14 at UFBA in Salvador city, Brazil.
Salvador receive many International, National and Regional meetings and welcomes thousands of visitors every year.

For those that are preparing a Poster to be presented in LISHEP2018 we advice to bring the poster ready to be exposed. Participants willing to present a poster in LISHEP should confirm in the registration form. The size of the poster should be a maximum of 1.2 m height and 1.0 m width. There will be a dinner starting at 19:30 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2018. All participants that paid in arrival the registration fees is invited to come to the conference dinner. The participants that were granted by the Workshop organization are welcome to the conference dinner paying the correspondent value to be announced during the workshop. Same procedure will be applied for the accompanying persons.
Salvador has a wide range of hotels. We made visits to several of them, and check their facilities. The Hotel chosen for hosting the participants of LISHEP2018 will be the Mar Azul Hotel (http://www.marazulhotel.com.br/en-us/).

Details about the accommodation at the official hotel of the event will be given below but you should always consult the hotel directly for confirmations:
Value of room rates: (breakfast included in the Hotel Restaurant)
Standard single room: R $ 159,00
Standard double room: R $ 189,00
Standard double room + extra bed *: R $ 258,00
Daily in double suite (single or double): R $ 319,00
ATTENTION: The hotel has a limited number of suites, for this reason, you will need to make a prior consultation for this specific type of room.
To make your reservation, you have two options:
First option:
Make the reservation directly through the hotel's reservation website here. Once on the site, use the special code 70313 for LISHEP2018.
The payment method will be the credit card that will be provided for guarantee of no show and payment will be made directly at check in.
Second option:
Send an email to: grupos@marazulhotel.com.br with the subject: RESERVATION FOR THE LISHEP2018 EVENT.
Please enter your full name, reservation period and type of accommodation in the body of the email, you must identify yourself as a participant in the LISHEP2018 Event.
Each participant must make their own reservation.
Full payment of the daily rates must be made directly at the Hotel, upon check-in.
Important notes:
1. Hotel Check in starts at 2:00 p.m. and check out must be made until 12:00 p.m.;
2. We do not charge ISS or tourism fees;
3. The Hotel does not accept payment by bank check;
4. The Hotel accepts Visa or Mastercard;

From the Airport to Hotels
1. By taxi: in the airport you have taxis that you can take easily. Don’t forget to say Hotel Mar Azul (Barra).
From the Hotels to UFBA
1. By taxi: you can get all information on the desktop of the hotel
You MAY NEED A VISA to enter Brazil, depending on your nationality. Please, contact the Brazilian diplomatic representation in your country for more detailed information.
Bahia at the time of LISHEP2018 will have habitually a good wheather. During this period of year, temperatures range from 21 C (71 F) to 28C (83 F).
Electrical power inSalvador is mostly 127 Volts / 60 cycles, A.C, but some hotels provide 220 Volts outlets.
Brazilian currency is the Real (R$). The official rate of exchange is available from daily newspapers, hotel cashiers, banks and travel agencies. Cash are easily exchanged at these locations. Many hotels and shops accept foreign currency and Credit Cards. Currently, the dollar to real rate has been around US$ 1.00 ~ R$ 3,80. But you have to confirm before leaving your country.
