The CHEP 2019 organisers are committed to fostering a supportive and diverse environment with opportunities for everyone. We take a positive attitude towards having full participation from the whole community and everybody in the field is encouraged to attend.
There are number of diversity-oriented events and initiatives taking place at CHEP 2019.
Diversity plenary presentation

We are delighted to have invited speaker Prof Lyn Beazley deliver a presentation on Gaining diversity: the short and long game.
Diversity drinks
7:00 pm Wed 6 Nov at 2KW [Maps]
All conference delegates with an interest in diversity are invited to 2KW for drinks at 7pm on Wednesday 6 November. 2KW is located in close proximity to the conference venue.
For those going on an excursion, you should be returned to the city centre by 6 pm on Wednesday.
Diversity panel discussion
5:30pm Thu 7 Nov in Hall G
The closing plenary on Thursday will be a panel discussion dedicated to the topic:
- "What can we, as individuals, do to improve inclusiveness and increase diversity in our field?"
Delegates are welcome to submit questions for the panel to consider via this form.
Pronoun stickers
To promote gender inclusivity, all CHEP 2019 delegates are encouraged to display a pronoun sticker on their conference name badge. Pronoun stickers are available at the registration desk.
