Proceedings instruction for authors

The proceedings for “Topical Workshop on Electronics for Particle Physics - TWEPP2021” held on 20 - 24 September, 2021 will be published in the Proceedings Section of JINST, Journal of Instrumentation.

To prepare your contribution for submission, please use the JINST Proceedings templates at http://jinst.sissa.it/jinst/help/JINST_TeXclass.jsp

Kindly notice that the number of pages must not exceed 5 pages (excluding the title and abstract page) for both oral and poster contributions.

Please display line numbers
The JINST manuscript upload process foresees two submission processes. Please use "submission via web upload", as only in this case line numbers are accepted.

Please make sure you submit your TWEPP2021 contribution by October 24, 2021.

When writing your contribution please take into account the following points:

  • Describe the specifications of the work, possibly the arguments for these specifications and the implementation challenge arising from these specifications. Use quantitative (numbers) statements, comparisons and performance figures; and do not give statements that a given parameter needs to be high or low.

  • Given that the number of pages is restricted it is suggested to limit the introduction to relevant information to the work you describe in the paper. Repetition of standards phrases about the LHC luminosity upgrade might only be useful if this information is set in direct context to your work.

  • Describe the work and challenge/complexity such that it can be understood by a scientist outside your field of competence in contrast to writing an experiment collaboration note.

  • Describe why your work is worth being presented at a scientific/technical workshop.

  • Describe the challenges/difficulties during the implementation of the work and how it was solved or why not.

  • Check the quality of formatting, language and style (i.e. incoherent use of unit of measure; different conventions used in the same paper such as abbreviations \3 s", \3 sec", \3 seconds" and position: \3C", \3 C"; poorly organized tables; etc.)

A more complete set of guidelines can be found here.
