Description
The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the present status and foreseeable progress of our understanding of quarkonium production, within the theoretical framework offered by QCD. Emphasis will be given to detailed presentations of the measurements made in pp collisions by the LHC experiments. We envisage first LHC results on quarkonium polarization to be discussed at this meeting. There will be significant time for discussions and to strengthen collaborations among the participants, including a free afternoon and a group dinner. To ensure fruitful discussions, participation will be limited to about 50 persons. The meeting will take place in Vienna’s University of Technology, under the local organization of the HEPHY institute.
