Submitting an abstract
Welcome to the abstract submission form for the 4th WCPE 2024 in Kraków.
Submitting the abstract requires creating a lightweight account, which you can do here. After registration, you should log into the Indico account through EXTERNAL EMAIL - GUEST ACCESS.
The abstract for the 4th WCPE 2024 should be submitted as a .doc/.docx file, following the formatting in the respective template.
The template for oral presentations, posters, and workshops is available here. The length of the entire abstract is limited to 2 pages, including figures, tables (if applicable), and references.
The template for symposia is available here. The length of the entire abstract is limited to 10 pages, including figures, tables (if applicable), and references. Within the 10 pages, the first two pages should be dedicated to the abstract of the symposium as a whole. Additionally, abstracts of each contribution should be appended with two pages each, as denoted in the template. The symposium organizer should submit the whole symposium's contribution in one piece. All presenting contributors need to be registered for the 4th WCPE.
When you submit an abstract for the 4th WCPE, you will need to complete the proposal form outlining your contribution. The short abstract (up to 100 words) should be copied into the proposal form (field name: Content) from the .doc/.docx file. If you submit a symposium, the short abstract of the overall symposium should be copied into the proposal form.
Each participant can participate in a maximum of five presentations, comprising:
- two oral presentations, but only one as the lead presenter and corresponding author
- one poster as the lead presenter and corresponding author
- one workshop
- one symposium.
Participants can be included as co-authors on other contributions, but the final decision on acceptance rests with the organizers who will consider the total number of presentations and the diversity of potential presenters as well as the scientific merits of the proposed contribution.
This quota could be reduced for hybrid contributions, as the number of hybrid contributions is limited overall.

The proposals will be reviewed based on the criteria published here, and the results will be communicated by 25 April 2024.
