MCnet Meeting 2022

Europe/Zurich
Universität Graz

Universität Graz

Universitätsplatz 5
Description

Meeting of the MCnet community 2022. The meeting is intended to take place in person, and will start on Wednesday 21 September afternoon with a collaboration board meeting, and continues on  Thursday 22 September and Friday 23 September with topical talks and discussions around the network's interest. Five topical sessions will cover the following fields:

  • Showers and resummation
  • Electroweak, BSM and dark matter physics
  • Heavy ions and soft QCD
  • Monte Carlos and methods for fixed-order calculations
  • Algorithms, data analysis and machine learning

Venue

All sessions and breaks will take place in the historic physics building. Coffee breaks and sandwhich lunch will be provided, and a common dinner will be organized but needs to be paid for individually.

Travel

Graz has a small airport which is however reachable from some major hubs like Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna. There is also a trian connection from Vienna and from Zurich.

Accommodation

There are plenty of hotels in the city centre at various price categories. More or less every place within Graz city centre is walking distance at most of 20 minutes. Send me an email if there are specific questions/requirements.
