Visa and Travel Information

Almost everyone travelling to Canada will require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), even if they don't need a visa.

The application process is generally past, but can take up to three days in some cases, so please make sure to apply for it sufficiently early before your trip.

You can find out here if you need an eTA and get to the official page: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eta/important-reminders-apply-eta.html

Please note that there are several fraudulent web pages pretending to be eTA application sites, so it is highly recommended to use the official web page linked above.

ENTRY TO CANADA – Information

Here is a brief summary of the VISA regulations for persons travelling to Canada to attend conferences. Note that the latest and official information on travel to Canada is maintained by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/meeting.asp).

The organisers will issue this letter to you by e-mail once you have completed the registration process and your payment has been received.

Certain countries do not require a VISA including EU and EEA (European economic Area) nationals. In general, foreign travelers require a visa for stays in Canada. An overview of countries indicating whether its citizens need to apply for visas is listed here (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp).  For information about visa exempt travelers, find more information here (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-who.asp).
