Description

Following the positive feedback by the DRDC on our revised proposal, weย  invite you to the DRD4 constitutional meeting on 23rd and 24th of January 2024 at CERN.

The capacity of the available meeting rooms limits the number of participants physically present to about 100. The presence of the PIs of the participating groups or their proxies is ย highly desirable. Participants shall register and indicate their physical presence.ย 

We don't forsee remote transmission during the voting sessions.

IMPORTANT: The morning sessions take place in 40/S2 - A01, the afternoon sessions in 31/3-004 (IT Amphitheatre).

The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss and confirm

  • content of the DRD4 research proposal
  • organisation model
  • list of participating institutesย

This will be followed by a series of votes to establish the DRD4 management

  • 6 WG Convenors
  • 5 WP leaders
  • 1 DRD4 co-ordinator
  • 1 Chair of Collaboration Boardย

Voting procedures are explained in a separate document attached to the agenda item 'Introduction to votes'.

We also need to discuss the Memorandum of Understanding. A template is under preparation by the CERN Director Research.ย ย 

Registration fee (changed on 22/01/2024):

We need a registration fee of 40 CHF for all participants physically present at CERN (3 coffee breaks and little reception on Tuesday evening). The individual participants DO NOT have to pay this fee. The DRD4 collanoration gets a 'loan' from CERN (over approx. 2000 CHF) and will pay the total bill. DRD4 collabration has to pay back this loan as soon as it has opened and filled a team account.ย 

Independent from this fee, the social dinner on Tuesday evening needs to be paid by the particiapnts in the restaurant.ย  34 CHF for salad, pizza, dessert, coffee, limoncello + drinks on top .
