How to reach Saint-Malo

By plane:

  • To Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport. Then, you have two solutions: 
    • There is a train station in Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport. There are some high speed trains (TGV) direct to Rennes, but only one or two per day. Then in Rennes take regional train (TER) to Saint-Malo. It will take ~3.5h and cost 50

    • Take high speed train from Paris Montparnasse-station to Saint-Malo. From the airport, use the RER B to Denfert-Rochereau, then metro line 6 to Montparnasse (count ~60min for transfer once in RER station).  Then, it will take ~3h and cost 50€.

  • To Paris Orly airport. Then you need to 
    • take high speed train from Paris Montparnasse-station to Saint-Malo. From the airport, use public transport to reach the station:
      • metro line 14 (expected to be opened in June 2024) from Orly to Maison Blanche, then line 5 to Place d'Italie, then line 6 to Montparnasse
      • OrlyVal to Antony, then RER B to Denfert-Rochereau, the metro line 6 to Montparnasse
      • Tram 7 to Maison Blanche, then line 5 to Place d'Italie, then line 6 to Montparnasse

  • It is also possible to fly directly to Rennes (from Paris, Nice and Amsterdam) and then to take regional train (TER) to Saint-Malo. 

 

By train:

  • There is a train station in Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport. There are some high speed trains direct to Rennes, but only one or two per day. Then in Rennes take regional train (TER) to Saint-Malo. It will take ~3.5h and cost 50
  • From Paris Montparnasse station the high speed train is direct to Saint Malo. It takes typically 2.5h and will cost around 50.
  • From Geneva, take the high speed train to Paris Gare de Lyon-station. You need then to transfert to Montparnasse station using metro line 14 to Bercy then take line 6 to Montparnasse. Count 30-45 min of transfert. Then take train to Saint Malo. The all transportation will take ~7h and will cost ~100.

 

By car:

  • Saint Malo is located at a bit more than 400 km from Paris. Have a look at this map for an itinary.
