Description
This workshop will concentrate on physics requirements and design options for the Near Detector at a future high brilliant neutrino source like the Neutrino Factory. The physics potential of such a detector will be addressed. Current status of simulations will be presented, as well as ongoing R&D and future developments.
Neutrino cross section measurements with the Near detector (νN quasielastic, resonance, coherent, deep inelastic scattering): available data and confrontation with theoretical predictions1/1-025
Neutrino flux monitoring by CC and NC scattering off electrons in a high resolution scintillating fibres tracker (design options and results from simulations)1/1-025
