Breakfasts and lunches

Breakfast, breaks, lunches, a get-together on Sunday evening 24th,  and the dinner on the day of the excursion are provided as part of the school (from 25 January thru' 2 February and breakfast on 3 February); their cost is included in the registration fee.

Please let us know if you have diet requirements (vegetarian/vegan/gluten free,...).

Breakfasts will be served as follows:

  • Guests of the San Martin residence: in the San Martin small dining room.
  • Guests of the Reisfeld residence: at the "Charlie's place" cafeteria on campus of the Weizmann Instititute. Just say you're a  participant of the ISOTDAQ school and give your name.

 

Nearby restaurants for dinners

Except for the get-together and dinner on the day of the excursion, attendees are responsible for dinners. There are many restaurants and pubs within walking distance. 

There are several restaurants on Herzl St., just south (left as you go out) of the main entrance to the Institute:

  • HaNasich – Middle eastern cuisine  – 219 Herzl St.
  • Pasta Basta – 219 Herzl St.
  • Herzl bar - Salad bar- 209 Herzl St
  • Aroma – The local ’Starbucks’ chain  with good pastries, sandwiches and salads – 218 Herzl st.
  • Shifka- Herzl  st 220 (15% discount if you show the school badge)
  • Moo VeMoo – for the Carnivores – 177 Herzl st.

Near the train station (north, half a km from the Weizmann gate, after the bridge over the railway):

  • Landwer Cafe, right next to the Leonardo Hotel

Note that in Israel it is customary to leave a tip to the waiter (~10% or more).
