Finding your way around CERN:

In order to find your way around CERN you will find a map at https://maps.cern.ch/mapsearch/ or you can use the Mobile Map app http://gs-dep.web.cern.ch/en/content/gis_mobile for your smartphone or ipad.

Visas:

Due to the geographical location of CERN, astride the Franco-Swiss border, you are strongly advised to check with the relevant consulates the entry conditions applicable to you in Switzerland and France. If you require an invitation letter please contact EMIS2018@cern.ch. Please note that invitation letters will only be provided once your registration for the conference is complete, your professional status has been verified and your registration fee has been received.

Accommodation:

CERN Hostel:
A block booking has been made for the EMIS2018 conference at the CERN Hostel (http://smb-dep.web.cern.ch/en/CERN_Housing) which is situated on the CERN Meyrin site close to where the conference will take place. If you would like one of these rooms please fill in the booking form which you can find by clicking the second line next to the paperclip on the conference homepage https://indico.cern.ch/event/616127/ and send it directly to the CERN Hostel via cern.hostel@cern.ch. The rooms will be distributed on a first come first served basis up until the deadline of 3rd July 2018. After this date any unused rooms from the block booking will be released by the hostel to the general CERN user community so it may be possible that the hostel still has some rooms available if you send them the booking form directly.
