Meeting history
We are welcoming you to the 10th international Workshop on Applications of Emission Mössbauer Spectroscopy (WEMS), which is organized by members of the Mössbauer collaboration at ISOLDE/CERN. This conference has been held for many years in order to exchange experiences and methods in emission Mössbauer spectroscopy (eMS) field, which covers a broad range of applications linked with magnetism, with the study of the molecular structures for the advanced characterization of nanostructured samples, as well as with the atomic scale structural and magnetic properties of solids. Precedent WEMS conferences are listed below.

The eMS group has for many years applied implantation of short-lived radioactive parent isotopes produced at the ISOLDE facility at CERN for emission Mössbauer spectroscopy, mostly in the field of material sciences. Currently, more than 30 members from different 16 countries worldwide collaborate actively within the eMS group at ISOLDE, CERN.
The aim of the workshop is to review the main findings of the collaboration in recent year(s) and bring together groups with interest in emission Mössbauer spectroscopy for studies in material sciences and/or biophysics.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Bilbao and wish you a stimulating and successful WEMS 2019 Conference!
Iraultza Unzueta Solozabal, Chair of WEMS2019
