Description

The status of experimental hints for sterile neutrinos is discussed. In particular, a critical analysis is presented of the Neutrino-4 claim of the observation of sterile neutrinos with a very large difference in the mass square with the known neutrinos. The consequences of the new measurements at Kurchatov Institute of beta spectra from 235U and 239Pu isotopes undergoing thermal-neutron-induced fission are discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of different experiments searching for sterile neutrinos are compared.
