General information
This is the first Bulletin with information on the 10th International Conference on New Frontiers in Physics (ICNFP-2021) to be held in two formats – Online and Physical presence (from the 23rd August to the 2nd of September).
The International Conference on New Frontiers in Physics aims to promote scientific exchange and the development of novel ideas in science with a particular accent in interdisciplinarity. The conference will bring together worldwide experts and promising young scientists working on experimental and theoretical aspects of particle, nuclear, heavy ion and astro-particle physics and cosmology, with colleagues from other disciplines, for example, solid-state physics, mathematics, mathematical physics, quantum optics and other.
The physical presence part of the conference will be hosted in the Conference Center of the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC), an exceptionally beautiful location only a few meters from the Mediterranean sea.
The working language of the conference is English.
Scientific Program
The program will be made public in the webpage of the conference after middle of July 2021.
The conference will cover the following topics:
- High Energy Particle Physics
- Heavy Ion Collisions and Critical Phenomena
- Cosmology, Astrophysics, Gravity, Mathematical Physics
- Quantum Physics, Quantum Optics and Quantum Information
Special Sessions, Workshops and mini-Workshops will be also organized within the conference, please see the corresponding item called "Workshops ICNFP 2021" in the main menu.

Registration
To perform the registration, please fill out the Registration Form presented on the Conference site. After we receive your form, we will send you an email with the confirmation.
Abstract submission
Please note that to submit your abstract(s) you need to create an account in Indico system, if you don't have one.

Due to the COVID-19 situation in the world the ICNFP Organizing and Programme Comittees decided to have two formats this year (like last year as well) – online and physical presence are available.
You can give your talk or poster via internet without coming to the conference site, or at the conference site coming physically to Crete.
All posters will be presented via the internet, and we ask the poster presenters to submit their poster as a pdf file with up to 24 slides of A4 format (and not as the usual big poster format).
The details of the connection will be provided later.
Conference fee
Conference fee for presenters of talks or posters per internet:
From now till 25 July 2021 conference fee: 250 EURO for Doctors, 150 EU for students
From 20 July 2021 conference fee: 285 EURO for Doctors, 185 EU for students
The conference fee includes:
- Publication of the contributed papers
- OAC fee of 60 euros
Conference fee for participants with a presentation in physical presence:
From now till 25 July 2021 conference fee: 400 EURO for Doctors, 300 EU for students
From 25 July 2021 conference fee: 435 EURO for Doctors, 335 EU for students
The conference fee includes:
- Publication of the contributed papers
- Conference dinner
- Conference excursion
- Social events
- Bus transportation from and to Chania airport on the arrival and departure days (23 August and 3 September 2021). There will be no transport from Heraklion Airport, which is 167 km from Kolymbari.
- Everyday bus hotel-OAC-hotel
The conference fee amount is independent of the duration of stay of the delegate and therefore it is also independent of the participation in the conference dinner or the excursion.
For those staying in OAC, there is no "OAC fee" to pay, we would like to remind you that the "OAC fee" is only for people who stay in the hotels and for people that are internet speakers.
For those staying in a hotel:
There is the additional cost of 35 EU per day to be paid to OAC (OAC fee) mainly for the use of the OAC conference and partially for coffee breaks. It should not be paid for the days of official arrival, departure and conference excursion. These participants are expected to pay for at least 3 days of this fee (even if they stay for one day).
Participants in hotels that wish to have meals should pay in advance of the conference (15 EU per meal). You can also let us know during the conference the best 2 days in advance.

The participants of ICNFP 2021 that will be coming to Crete are expected to book a room at the conference center OAC.
We point out again for clarification that if you do a room reservation in OAC, you do not have to make the additional 35 EUR payments per day to OAC, with a minimum payment for 3 days (105 EUR) (for those staying less than 3 days) which holds only for people staying in hotels.
To reserve a room in OAC please use the registration form in the left-hand-side menu (in case of any problems please send an email to the conference email).
ATTENTION: After confirmation of the OAC room reservation for the exact dates from organizing committee, any changes to the arrival and departure dates can only be made before the conference and not on the last day before it, otherwise, you must pay for the originally confirmed dates. To make any changes, please, write a letter to the organizing committee (icnfp2021@gmail.com) and wait for a new confirmation of the dates. Changing the registration form for the OAC will not affect the confirmed dates, only writing of the email.
Please do not proceed to any payment if you have not received a confirmation of your stay in OAC by the organizers.
Once you receive confirmation of your room booking from the conference organizers you can proceed to pay the amount of the room for one day, as a reservation to book your room, and please send us proof of your payment (electronic receipt, photo or scan of the receipt) with payment description (name of the participant, payment information such as "accommodation", "meals", conference fee payment, etc.) to icnfp2021.invoice@gmail.com with a copy to the main conference email icnfp2021@gmail.com
Publication of paper contributions to ICNFP 2021
This year for papers based on both oral and poster presentations given during ICNFP2021 we aim to offer two options for publication of the materials, the same as for ICNFP2020 (webpage from ICNFP2020 can be found here):
1) peer-reviewed publication in a Focus Issue of Physica Scripta journal
2) peer-reviewed proceedings-style publication in one of 3 journals depending on their topics:
- IJMPA – High Energy Particle Physics, Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology, Gravity, Mathematical Physics, Other topics
- IJMPE – Nuclear/Astro-nuclear Physics & Heavy Ion Collisions
- MPLA – Quantum Physics, Foundations of Quantum Mechanics
These journals are archived in Web Of Science (WOS) and have quartiles like Q2-3.
