Publication of Conference Materials

Publication of paper contributions to ICNFP 2021

This year for papers based on both oral and poster presentations given during ICNFP2021 we offer two options for publication of the materials, the same as for ICNFP2020:

1) peer-reviewed publication in a Focus Issue of Physica Scripta journal
https://iopscience.iop.org/journal/1402-4896
https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=29122&tip=sid&clean=0

2) peer-reviewed proceedings-style publication in one of 3 journals depending on their topics:
- IJMPA – High Energy Particle Physics, Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology, Gravity, Mathematical Physics, Other topics (https://www.worldscientific.com/worldscinet/ijmpa)
- IJMPE – Nuclear/Astro-nuclear Physics & Heavy Ion Collisions
(https://www.worldscientific.com/worldscinet/ijmpe)
- MPLA – Quantum Physics, Foundations of Quantum Mechanics
(https://www.worldscientific.com/worldscinet/mpla)

Physica Scripta, IJMPA, IJMPE and MPLA are the journals with quartiles in WOS and are not conference proceeding journals. Therefore, they all require a higher attention than conference proceeding journals, namely, a submitted manuscript is supposed to be a well detailed paper with long introduction, clear presentation and conclusions,  suitable for wide scope and interdisciplinary readers. The article must have no unexplained abbreviations, with numerous and wide scope of references (not only self-referencing), and must cite the previous publications when there is an overlap in the text with earlier publications including previous conference proceedings.

Please note that all journals dispose automatic search software that finds all parts of the text that have been already published earlier, including conference proceedings. Any reproduction of parts should be cited.

It is possible to submit your paper first in one of the above journals and in case it is not accepted to submit it to another among those journals, while you cannot submit to multiple journals at the same time.

This year guest editors and journal’s editorial board will make sure to achieve a much more speedy publication of the contributions to ICNFP2021 as compared to previous years of ICNFP.

Focus Issue of Physica Scripta journal

Physica Scripta journal is a peer-review journal and the contributions to the Focus Issue will be published as original articles. The latter means that all the submissions will be considered as regular articles and will undergo a peer-review process with corresponding criteria (see below).

The articles which pass the reviewing procedure and are accepted for publication in Physica Scripta will be published immediately. All accepted papers will be published on a 'subscription basis’ (not an Open Access). All articles will be published with colour figures online.

You can submit articles of all types to Physica Scripta including topical reviews.
Please remember to suggest 4 referees for the refereeing procedure.

There is no strict limit on the number of pages in the contribution, but we suggest the following as a landmark:
- 10 pages for 15+5 min talks and posters
- 13 pages for 20+5 min talks
- 15 pages for 25+5 min talks
- 25 pages for longer talks

Please find the style files here:

(MS Word) https://drive.google.com/open?id=1RErlgUTtNLZDXVStu_3iRd2qqCQ9HHFC

All papers submitted to the special issue of Physica Scripta must meet the following criteria:

- The paper has to be in scope for the journal https://iopscience.iop.org/journal/1402-4896/page/about-the-journal

- The paper must be a full-fledged research article that is appropriately referenced (e.g. normally the paper has to be over 10 pages with more than 10 references, which include both self-citation and citation of other scientific groups in the field)

- The text must be original to a high extent, with no considerable overlap with other published works including conference proceedings

- Copyright for the work must be owned by the authors which will be transferred to IOP Publishing if the article is accepted.

We would like to draw your attention that all the participants while submitting their papers to Physica Scripta are strongly suggested to choose the option of publishing the paper on a subscription basis. Otherwise, by choosing the Gold Open Access basis the participant will have to pay the fee upon the acceptance of his/her paper.

Please, make sure that you chose «No» for the question in the section «Gold Open Access Funding» while submitting the paper to Physica Scripta.

The submission deadline for contributions to the Focus Issue of Physica Scripta journal is

10 March 2022.

To submit your contribution to Physical Scripta, please, use the following link

https://mc04.manuscriptcentral.com/physscr-iop

and choose under ‘Special issue article’ the title ‘Focus on New Frontiers in Physics - Selected Papers from ICNFP 2021’ in the drop-down menu.

We kindly ask you to make sure that you have added your name to the list of contributions to Physical Scripta

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XftTgC4b2iuGfRNWVshK8MCw7oPIEPG6IdHDU60M3RM/edit#gid=0

before submitting your contribution to the journal.

If you didn’t manage to add your name to the list before January 7, but you would like to submit your paper to Physical Scripta, please, first, write your name in the list via the link above and notify us by e-mail.

Otherwise, your contribution will not be accepted to Physical Scripta.

Proceedings volume in IJMPA/ IJMPE/MPLA

There is also the opportunity to submit a proceeding-like contribution. The proceedings contributions will be peer-reviewed according to the standard proceedings criteria.

If the text contains repetitions of the text published elsewhere including conference proceedings, the previous publication should be cited.

When a paper is accepted for publication, it will be forwarded to IJMPA, IJMPE, or MPLA according to its topic:

IJMPA – HEP, Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology, Gravity, Mathematical Physics, Other topics
IJMPE – Nuclear/Astro-nuclear Physics & Heavy Ion Collisions
MPLA – Quantum Physics, Foundations of Quantum Mechanics

There is no strict limit on the number of pages in the contribution, but we suggest the following as a landmark:
- 8 pages for 15+5 min talks and posters
- 12 pages for 20+5 min talks
- 15 pages for 25+5 min talks
- 25 pages for longer talks

To submit a manuscript to the IJMPA, please, choose ''Special Issue: ICNFP 2021'' at the first stage "Select Article Type" of the submission process: https://www.editorialmanager.com/ijmpa/default1.aspx

The submission deadline for contributions to the IJMPA, IJMPE or MPLA journal is

10 March 2022.
