People are the key to successful software. The HSF-India project aims to promote the development of international research software collaborations. This is the second in a series of training workshops for software and data analysis skills essential for doing research software in physics. Our curriculum builds upon the successful series of training workshops.ย

This workshop covered

  • Scientific Python
  • Parallel programming and GPUs
  • Basics of machine learning
  • Simulation techniques in HEP

ย

This event is organized primarily for masters and early PhD students from the surrounding region. However, anyone is welcome to attend. Registration is now closed. Applications on or before November 12th were be given full consideration. We expect to accommodate around 50 students.ย

In the case that we can not accept all applications, preference will be given to masters and early PhD students from the surrounding region who are engaged in programs for high-energy physics, nuclear physics, astroparticle physics and data science pursuits.ย

Learn more about the HSF-India project at http://research-software-collaborations.org. Please also be aware of the upcoming school on High Energy Particle and Astropartiple Physics at Saha Institute starting December 4 (https://indico.saha.ac.in/event/5/), which also may be of interest.ย
