Description
Flavour changing neutral current processes, such as the $b \to s \ell^+\ell^-$ transition, are forbidden at the lowest perturbative order in the Standard Model (SM) and are therefore highly sensitive probes for potential New Physics. The $B \to K^{(*)}\mu^+\mu^-$ family of decays are among the most well studied of these, with measurements of branching fractions and angular observables showing persistent tensions with the SM. Recent LHCb results will be presented covering a wide range of observables in $B \to K^{(*)}\mu^+\mu^-$ decays and exploring important questions regarding the current tensions with respect to the SM.
