Description
The study of single W or Z boson production at the LHC provides stringent tests of the electroweak theory and perturbative QCD. World first measurements of the complete set of angular coefficients and full phase-space differential cross-sections of W boson production are presented. The measurements use low pileup data which allow an optimised reconstruction of the W boson transverse momentum. Cross section data of off-shell W boson production are also shown, as well as measurements of Z boson production cross section in the full phase space of the decay leptons. The recoil of the Z-boson is sensitive to quark and gluon emissions and is used to determine the strong coupling constant in a novel and precise approach.
