Health insurance, visa

HEALTH INSURANCE

In view of the extremely high cost of health care in Geneva, we strongly recommend that all participants ensure that they have health insurance cover valid for Switzerland for the duration of their stay, covering illness and accidents. This is a standard requirement for all visitors to CERN.

VISA APPLICATION:

If you are unsure whether you require a visa to enter Switzerland or France, we recommend that you contact the relevant consulates to enquire about the conditions of entryapplicable to you, stating the nature and duration of your visit to CERN.
If you do require a visa, please send the information requested below to Jeanne Rostant within 6 weeks prior to your planned visit - NOT BEFORE (thanks!)

To apply for a Swiss visa:
Please indicate the fax number of the consulate/embassy where you willsubmit your application for the visa; we will send them a copy of your formal letter of invitation. If any family members will accompany you, please statetheir names and place/date of birth.

Obtention of the French multi-entry visas:
We will send you a form which will facilitate the obtention of the Frenchvisa. To this aim, please answer the following questions:

The full name of your home institute and its address:
