All sessions of the workshop will be held in the Hotel Hermitage in "La Biodola" area, a beautiful little bay on Elba Island. Elba is the biggest island of the Tuscan Archipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea and is a major holiday resort, famous for its natural beauties, its history and its vineyards. The island is located 10-km offshore, about 80 km south of Pisa and about 250 km north of Rome.
Participation to the workshop is open to all. Oral presentations are by invitation only. Organizing committee accepts abstract only for poster sessions.
Dates
The Workshop will start in the morning of Monday, September 26th and finish in the evening of Friday, September 30th, 2016.
The daily work schedule will be concentrated in the morning and in the evening allowing a few hours around lunch time to relax, sunbathe, or swim.
Participants are expected to arrive on Sunday, September 25th and depart on Saturday, October 1st.
Social events
The welcome cocktail will be offered in the evening of Sunday, September 25th at the Hotel Hermitage.
The excursion will be organized in the afternoon of Wednesday, September 28th. The excursion is a guided walking tour through the historical part of Portoferraio, and at the end a typical food and wine selection will be served.
The social dinner will take place on Thursday, September 29th evening in the Hotel Hermitage area.
