Today is already our last dinner together:(

Let's enjoy and have fun:)!

We are leaving Bnei Dan at 7:30pm to go to Herzliya and have our lunch at Derbi Bar, during which we will have the pleasure to have George Samaan performing for us.

  • Bring your sweater, we will be at the terrasse.

Bus back to Bnei Dan is scheduled for 10:30pm. For the one wishing to stop at Tel Aviv beach, we will have a stop on the way back.

How to submit

1) Go to the CSC 2018 photo gallery at https://csc-photos.web.cern.ch/csc-photos/CSC2018/ and select Upload

 

 

2) Select yourself as the photographer and click Apply

 

3) For each photo that you want to submit, select it and copy the URL

 

4) Paste the URL(s) into an email and send it to Nikos and Joelma at computing.school@cern.ch

Traditional CSC football match this afternoon

Is starting at 16:15 and will take place in the park next to the river. Please fill in the survey and enjoy the time with us. If you do not want to play, no problem we will encourage the players and have a good time.

Nikos is organizing the matchs and will soon come to us with more information.

Dead sea and Jerusalem visit - Tuesday 9th October

Monday 8th October 2018

Our excursion will start at 8:30! (as usual, bus in front of the hostel, please be on time).

We are going to enjoy a floating time at Dead Sea.

Our advises: don't shave on the day as the salt may hurt your skin, when floating do not dive in the dead sea as the salt can also burn your eyes.

For the sea, bring: swim clothes, towel, sunglasses, hat, sun cream, water bottle etc.

Light lunch will be served at one of the Dead Sea clubs and after we will be leaving to Jerusalem (bus at 2pm).

Jerusalem trip

We will enjoy a guided tour at the Amazing old city. 

Put on comfortable shoes and clothes (if possible covering yours knees and shoulders).

 

Dinner

We will take the bus at 7pm to go for another delicious meal at a restaurant near to Jerusalem.

Bus back to Bnei Dan is leaving Jerusalem at 9pm.

Special sports afternoon

Saturday 6th October 2018

Beach tomorrow afternoon!

We are leaving Bnei Dan at 13:45 (by bus) to go kayaking,  ab, surfing, playing volleyball, etc. at Gordon beach.

After the sports, we will certainly be hungry and by 6pm, we are going to Tel Aviv new port for a dinner at Shipudey Hatikva Grill restaurant: https://goo.gl/maps/YnPRvPyNVHN2

We need to bring:

  • Swim costume, and a wetsuit (if you have one or a t-shirt that you can swim with), towel, sunglass, sun cream, etc…

The bus is booked for a return to Bnei Dan by 20:30.

After a day with several interesting lectures/exercises and a short free/sports time.

Tonight we are having a great  and a delicious dinner at Japanka!

Bus is leaving Bnei Dan hostel at 7:30pm and we will be back by 10pm. Looking forward to enjoy this nice dinner with you all.

"CSC 2018 Live!" (this page) is the live blog/information-sharing channel of the organisers (Sebastian, Joelma, Nikos and the lecturers) with students during the School.

This is the place where we will post official information (schedule updates, links to surveys, logistics details of various activities) but also the fun stuff (pictures from social activities, sport competition results etc.). So please visit this page often.
