Poster Competition Winners

Lepton Photon 2019 received 75 posters organized into two two-day sessions.  During that time, each poster was judged by three senior physicists.  The result was a very tight competition, with many outstanding posters.

The judges identified the following four poster presenters as having the best poster presentation, based on the scientific value, the design of the poster and the effectiveness of the presenter in summarizing her or his work.  In order of ranking, these are as follows (along with links to the posters):

  1. Carla Marin Benito     Postdoctoral Researcher, CNRS
Poster Title:                 Flavour Physics at the High Luminosity LHC: LHCb Upgrade II
  2. Robert Les                   Graduate Student, University of Toronto
Poster Title:                 ATLAS Searches for VV Resonances in the Semileptonic Channel
  3. Krystsina Petukhova   Graduate Student, Charles University, Czech Republic
Poster Title:                 Calibration and Performance of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter During the LHC Run 2
  4. Jose Soto-Oton           Graduate Student, CIEMAT, Spain
Poster Title:                 Light detection in DUNE Dual Phase

Congratulations to all four winners.  A short summary of each of their Friday afternoon plenary talks can be found in the Timetable.

Many thanks to the over 30 judges that gave up a significant part of their coffee "chat" time to engage with and judge the posters.
