Description

The Cosmic Ray Tagger (CRT) is a subsystem of the ICARUS detector at the Fermilab Short-Baseline Neutrino (SBN) program. The primary purpose of CRT system is to reduce the backgrounds in the neutrino oscillation analysis. Background suppression is achieved by surrounding the cryostat with a detector capable of tagging incident cosmic muons with high efficiency (95%). This talk will report on the current progress towards development and production of CRT system as well as status of the ICARUS detector and the timeline for the SBN program.
