ISMD2020 will be held in the historic Atholl Palace hotel in Pitlochry, in the Scottish Highlands and on the outskirts of the beautiful wildernesses of the Cairngorm National Park and Rannoch Moor.
Pitlochry is easily accessed by direct train from either Glasgow or Edinburgh within 1h50, or by a similar time by car (car rental is possible from both cities' airports).
Train tickets can be bought online from several sites, including https://www.scotrail.co.uk/ and via the ScotRail app, or from vending machines at all stations.
From Edinburgh Airport: Visitors arriving into Edinburgh Airport should take the airport tram to Edinburgh Waverley station (approx. 30 mins), and a direct train to Pitlochry from there.
From Glasgow Airport: Visitors arriving into Glasgow Airport should take the airport bus service to Glasgow Queen Street station (approx. 30 mins), and a direct train to Pitlochry from there.
A short walk or taxi ride from Pitlochry Station will take you to the Atholl Palace Hotel.
