An international conference has a significant carbon footprint, and we believe it is the responsibility of our community to reduce this and make academic conferences consistent with global sustainability.
ISMD2022 is working to minimise waste, through use of conference materials as needed rather than a conference pack that is more often than not discarded, and by offsetting the carbon emissions of conference travel through tree-planting in Scotland with the Future Forest Co: https://youtu.be/DucoS1fPyDc
