Participants should note that the workshop will be taking place on the Swiss part of the CERN site, the CERN visits on both the French and Swiss sides and the chairman's dinner on the French side.
Switzerland has been in the Schengen Zone since December 12th 2008. As a result, “Schengen” visas also cover entry into Switzerland and France provided they are part of a valid travel document.
Participants requiring a visa for Switzerland are strongly advised to make their application in their home country at least three months before the intended date of travel. For more information:

Letters confirming registration will be issued by the workshop secretariat to bona fide participants once the registration payment has been completed. Participants are required to provide their full name as shown on passport as well as their institute name and address.
For participants officially invited by CERN, an official invitation letter and convention d’accueil will be issued if required. Please approach the secrétariat for details.
