This workshop will be held fully in person and participation is by invitation only.
In Old Norse, Hólmganga refers to a duel practised in medieval times as a way to resolve disputes. The format of this workshop draws inspiration from this ancient tradition to fill the week with intense discussions, explore different points of view and see where we “clash”. We hope to find some common ground for the sake of furthering our scientific understanding of the subject at hand.
Sessions will be a mix of breakout and plenary discussions, framed under four topics:
- Jet quenching
- Particle production & freeze-out
- Correlations & fluctuations
- CGC versus Lund strings
