This workshop focuses on aspects of photo-induced processes, as well as on real and virtual photo-emission in heavy-ion collisions at the energies of RHIC and the LHC.

Scientific topics:

• The physics of strong electromagnetic fields
• $\gamma\gamma \rightarrow \gamma\gamma$ scattering in ultraperipheral heavy-ion collisions

• Photoproduction of continuum pion and kaon pairs
• Multiple photoproduction of $\rho^{0}$ mesons
• Production and measurements of photons in semi-central heavy-ion collisions
• Electromagnetic radiation from the Quark-Gluon Plasma
• Photo-nuclear processes as probes of gluon distribution in nuclei
