This is the 2nd workshop on forward QCD in Lawrence, Kansas. This meeting will bring together experimental and theoretical physicists to discuss the physics, detector technologies, latest research progress, and future plans and new ideas on several topics related to low-x QCD, forward physics, diffraction, and ultra-peripheral collisions. Particular attention will be given to open questions and future directions at RHIC, JLab, LHC and the EIC.
The event will be on campus at Ritchie Hall, Room 164.
Contrary to ordinary workshops, at Forward QCD most of the talks are required to be student lecture-type presentations, with ample time for questions and discussions. Speakers give one or two mini-lectures. The list of invited speakers will be announced soon. Proposals for contributed talks are also accepted provided they follow the mini-lecture format.
It will be an in-person meeting only. We recommend that you arrive on Sunday, May 22. All the talks will be 25+5 minutes, with no parallel talks.
This workshop will be followed by the ALICE USA meeting organized at KU from May 25-27, 2022.
Students and postdocs are exempted from the registration fee. For senior colleagues, the registration fee is $50. It includes a welcome reception, coffee breaks and proceedings. Only cash will be accepted as a form of payment.
