The Boston Jet Physics Workshop will be held from January 12-14, 2011 at Harvard University.
The workshop will focus on improving our ability to use jets in collider physics applications. We hope to combine insights from three groups: the theoretical community dedicated to analytic jet physics computations, the theoretical community working on using jets in Monte-Carlo-based new physics studies, and the experimental community which will actually measure the jets. Each community brings a unique perspective and faces a different set of challenges. The goal of this workshop is facilitate a discussion of these challenges and to focus the efforts of all communities toward a common goal: maximizing the discovery potential of the LHC.
This workshop is open to the public. Early registration is encouraged, and some funding will be available.
