Description
Advanced machine-learning (ML) based methods are being increasingly used to tackle the analyses of large and complex datasets. At CMS we explore the unique opportunity to exploit these new ML methods to extract information and address scientific questions to search for physics beyond the Standard Model, with the overarching aim to discern possible signatures for new physics. In this talk we will discuss results using this novel strategy carried out with the full Run-II dataset collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC.
