This year's ICHEP2024 series will feature a panel discussion on Future Colliders. While large-scale future collider projects offer groundbreaking physics opportunities, they also pose various daunting challenges. These relate to advancing enabling technologies, securing funding, ensuring energy sustainability, and long-term strategic planning to foster a vibrant high-energy physics community that can realize its ambitions.
On Tuesday, July 23, directors from four large international laboratories, Fabiola Gianotti (CERN), Lia Merminga (FNAL), Yifang Wang (IHEP), and Shoji Asai (KEK), will delve into these complex issues and give us their views on the future directions in HEP.
We invite ICHEP participants to share their questions to the panelists through a survey available here. Your input will inspire our moderators, Florencia Canelli (chair of IUPAP C11) and Jorgen D'Hondt (ex-chair of ECFA). The survey will be closed at the end of Sunday, July 21.
