Description

I will describe recent progress on phrasing the kinematic algebra at the heart of the color-kinematic duality in terms of a quasi-shuffle Hopf algebra. First, in the heavy-mass effective field theory (HEFT) limit, the algebra is shown to easily generalize from Yang-Mills to DF^2+YM theory. This theory contains \alpha’ corrections to Yang-Mills and is relevant for bosonic string amplitudes. Then, after a factorization away from HEFT, and in the small \alpha’ limit, a direct Hopf algebra construction is obtained for pure Yang-Mills. This leads to a closed-form expressions for Bern-Carrasco-Johansson numerators, that are compact, relabelling symmetric, and local.
