Recommissioning Plans of Machines and Experimental Areas for beam after LS2End of 2014 the IEFC has issued a mandate to install a new Working Group on ‘Re-commissioning of the Injector Complex after a Prolonged Period of Maintenance’ (IRWG). This presentation will cover a brief analysis of the main issues that have been faced during LS1 as well as intermediate conclusions on the strategy that has been worked out for the re-commissioning after LS2, applicable for both the LHC injector complex and for the experimental areas.Speaker: Bettina Mikulec (CERN)

Transport and Handling in LS2Abstract: A huge number of accelerator and experimental components will need to be transported and handled on CERN site during LS2. The LHC injector chain has already announced major consolidations and upgrade worksites to prepare the run 3 and the HI LUMI phase. Similarly, the LHC experimental areas will undergo a complete reshuffling of their experimental apparatus. This will represent a major challenge for the transport group that covers all transport aspects from studies and procurement of new handling tooling and machines, to handling personnel day-by-day management and maintenance of machines to insure availability. Since our group will be on all fronts, it is important that all handling needs are announced early enough and transport personnel to be involved in working groups.Speaker: Caterina Bertone (CERN)

ABPDuring LS2 the ABP group will be responsible for the coordination of the activities related to the maintenance of the hadron linacs and sources and for the coordination of the LHC Collimation Project in collaboration with other equipment groups in the accelerator sector. In addition the group provide support for the evaluation of the impact non-conformities and of installation of new equipment on machine performance for the LHC injectors. The key points concerning the activities above and relevant for the LS2 planning and coordination will be highlighted.Speaker: Richard Scrivens (CERN)
