Abstract:
A huge number of accelerator and experimental components will need to be transported and handled on CERN site during LS2. The LHC injector chain has already announced major consolidations and upgrade worksites to prepare the run 3 and the HI LUMI phase. Similarly, the LHC experimental areas will undergo a complete reshuffling of their experimental apparatus. This will represent a major challenge for the transport group that covers all transport aspects from studies and procurement of new handling tooling and machines, to handling personnel day-by-day management and maintenance of machines to insure availability. Since our group will be on all fronts, it is important that all handling needs are announced early enough and transport personnel to be involved in working groups.
