Ten years ago a workshop on particle correlations and femtoscopy was convened to establish a regular series of workshops, initially following the Quark Matter conferences, where a critical and thorough analysis of latest results on Bose-Einstein/HBT correlations and other femtoscopic methods will be possible. The jubilee Xth Workshop on Particle Correlations and Femtoscopy (WPCF-2014) will be held from August 25 to 29, 2014, at Károly Róbert College in Gyöngyös, Hungary. WPCF-2014 continues the tradition of bringing together experts in the experimental and theoretical physics of measuring source shapes and sizes in high energy collisions. We also intend to open this series of meetings towards new results in related topics like diffraction in high energy physics, flow, ridge correlations, femtoscopic methods in low and intermediate energy heavy ion physics as well as outreach. Students without a PhD are particularly encouraged to attend and their registration and participation fee is reduced.
In addition to the usual WPCF topics, which are broadly speaking theory, experiment and methods in femtoscopy, more specifically
We also plan to have detailed discussions on recent results from Quark Matter 2014,
and to add some local flavours:
and we encourage participants to register as soon as reasonably possible and to propose the title of their own talks.
Looking forward to an inspiring and useful, anniversary meeting, and hope to see you in Hungary soon,
Tamás Csörgő, Chair
Máté Csanád, Secretary and Tamás Novák, Co-Chair
for the WPCF 2014 Local Organizing Committee
We start a bit earlier and try to end the lunch break by 13:45 and gather in the main hall.
including a visit to the House of the Holy Crown of Hungary, a visit to the Mátra Museum and dinner in the Mátra Hills. It will bring you back to the conference hotels, and will bring the members of IAC to the conference site for the evaluation/planning meeting.
